I'll look into these other guys. Any other questions or suggestions? Sorry Dustin, awd mobile dyno would be pretty hard to get from what I can guess. That is unless you can find one for me that charges no flat rate fees to come to the event and does things through the attendees.
I would like to see if we could get some different shops to come out that do different types of prep for racing. I know there are a couple in the area that are owned by guys that come to the Upstate SCCA meetings every month.
Also, it probably wouldn't be to bad if we had some different vendors that can install or fabricate some basic things that people are always looking to do on there cars. That being, suspension/alignment/cornerweighting, exhaust, rims and tires, paint, brakes etc.. This would be nice so that we can have different setups that can go over the different mods that you can do to your car etc... and how they (the company) can help, and also what benefits you get out of it. I prefer to be looking for mainly different types of places that are good quality places that are also somewhat affordable for anyone and everyone.
TopSpeed runs group rates.

It's an hour and a half away in alpharetta, great venue, maybe we could invite gtech or other local car club to come and do some sort of silly contest/autox weekend, lots of bodies, sell food/drinks, monehy from the autox to try to minimize cost?

Sorry guys, the show will be IN CLEMSON. The whole purpose would be to
1. Have a great show with as much of a diverse group of people and cars around
2 Have lots of students and others around clemson get involved and/or interested in our club and other upstate clubs *cough* *cough* CCR
3. Get to dyno your car and enter it into a car show and possibly win an award.
4. Get to talk to vendors and other people that you can go to events with.
5. Last, but not least, have FUN
As for opinions on the Mobile Dyno, if anyone ones to help me secure one then please call me asap, bc I want to get a list together of possible companies that are willing to come out ASAP. TO BE CLEAR, I will try to accomodate as many people as possible, but at the end of the day I can't make everyone happy. Also, if you know any vendors relating to basic mods or upgrades that lots of people like to do to their cars that would be interested in attending then please lmk. This would be mainly things like, engine, susp/align, wheels and tires etc... _________________

BTW... they kinda sucked!!! they got 9 cars done in a entire day! Not run efficiently at all. I would not pay them for another dyno.. especially when i can get three pulls for $50 elsewhere... _________________
Again guys, I'll try my best to get the best dyno to the show as possible. Please unless you have other dynos that can meet the requirements I've already put forth then dont waste my time. This thread was not meant to be a "I prefer this dyno... that dyno was crap... those guys are weird etc..." therefore unless your suggestions are trying to contribute to the show then please dont post your opinions on stuff that you could post elsewhere. Not trying to come off harsh or anything, I'd just like to keep the thread on topic and specific to comments that can help to get a good car show together.
If you have any specific vendors that might want to come that you know of please let me know. I'll need at minimum basic contact info and a general description of what they do.
I also still would like some more feedback from people and will probably need some help in contacting local vendors in the next two weeks. Anyone interested? Please also try to come to the meeting this wed. so that we can put together any info that people might have.
We aren't trying to crap on your idea, we are just passing along that D7D Dyno is not the most reliable or profession group of folks. I was at the Mopar Tuner Fest with Kbag and they didn't bring any boards to help the low profile cars load onto the dyno. I couldn't even get onto their ramps.
When I suggested that they drive 1/2 mile down the road with their pick up truck and buy a couple 2x10's at Home Depot, they ignored me and continued to turn people away for being too low to get on the dyno. They had already been paid by the event organizers and had no desire to actually fulfill their commitments if they didn't have to. Low class if you ask me!
If you want that reputation to follow your first organized car event, then feel free, otherwise I would take the other people idea's into consideration.
My point was not to go against anyones suggestions, it was to make sure that this thread is for helpful suggestions and not a bashing thread to go on and on about different vendors etc.. As I said before, I'm going to take as many considerations in as possible. I still am going to need some help though, this week and next week contacting vendors to see if they would be willing to come to the event. Therefore, if you can help at all, it would be highly suggested that you please do so ASAP. I need to get together a list of different possible vendors as I suggested before. I already have a few basic ones in mind, but still could use some help on that front. _________________

sam, is it that hard to understand why were not having a meet at a dyno shop.
no one would show. Its hard enough getting people from this club out to local meets, much less having them drive 1.5hrs to a shop to spend money on a dyno.
Its the clemsonscc local show, not a show in a suburb of atlanta. Let everyone have their own car specific meets in ATL.
Shoot, we had a dyno meet in greer, i think 1 member actually went out of several that said they were going to go. (this club has an issue with people who sign up and dont show)
Ross, take their "bashing" as you call it as advice. If the DandD place has built a crappy reputation around here, why have them come out?
They might be the only viable option tho, so beggars cant be choosers. 9 cars in a day is sad though, at least that only hurts their bottom line.
As far as vendors...................maybe call tint plus? They do fairly good work, even though they are associated with some not so nice cars. They had a car show a few weeks back, marginal turnout but they at least have some pull in getting more people to show.
